Statement of Inclusivity

AAH’s Code of Conduct

The AAH team is committed to supporting diversity, equality and inclusion across all activities we propose. We are dedicated to providing a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all audiences regardless of background and identity. By participating in any of our online events, we kindly ask members, participants and speakers to uphold the AAH's Code of Conduct.

In order to foster a positive, respectful, harassment-free, and productive experience, the AAH team encourages the following kinds of expected behaviours in all events:

  • Use welcoming and inclusive language.

  • Maintain a respectful atmosphere at all times.

  • Be critical of ideas, not individuals.

  • Respect everyone’s time.

AAH does not tolerate:

  • Harassment, bullying, intimidation, discrimination and inappropriate/offensive language of any kind.

  • Verbal abuse of any participant.

  • The display of sexual or violent images.

  • Sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or exclusionary jokes.

  • Deliberate disruption of any member/speaker/participant.

We expect all members, speakers and participants to follow these codes of conduct at all times. Please note that anyone requested to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately and may be banned from collaborating and participating in future events. If you are subject to or witness any form of unacceptable behaviour, please immediately notify an AAH member via chat during the event or later by email if you prefer to do so (actionfortheartsandhumanities@gmail.com).
